ECP Connect

ECP Connect is a pure-IP multimedia conferencing system that supports multiparty voice, data, and video communications with all media streams carried over IP networks. Given that the installed base of legacy telephone equipment is substantial, and will remain so for the foreseeable future, supporting legacy telephones in an all-IP multimedia conferencing system is a fundamental market requirement.

The platform enables live collaboration with high levels of interaction and is rich in media options and feature support. Enterprises use multimedia conferencing systems so workgroups can communicate and collaborate more effectively without incurring unmanageable costs.

End users may choose to use either telephones or PCs for their audio. PCs are more cost-effective than telephones and PCs allow hands-free usage. Telephones are more familiar to people and more convenient for occasional users. ECP Connect does not require all users to be on the telephone nor does it require all users to be on the PC for audio. ECP Connect accommodates the mixing of these device types in the same event.
